Microsoft has announced the availability of the System Center Management Pack for Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2017 (TFS). The pack provides TFS monitoring, which includes components such as application tier servers, data tier servers and team project collections.
Microsoft has announced the availability of Team Foundation Server 15 Release Candidate 1. It includes almost all of the major new features shipped on VS Team Services and makes them available for on-premises TFS users.
Microsoft has announced the availability of Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 RC and Team Foundation Server 2015 Update 3 RC. The Visual Studio 2015 update focuses on stability and performance, with feature updates including enhancements for Visual Studio IDE, Tools for Apache Cordova and Diagnostics Tool support for applications running on Windows OneCore devices.
The TFS 2015 update is a modest release with a few features and some fixes for top reported issues.
Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2015 Update 2 CTP, which focuses on stability and performance. The update includes a range of bug fixes for Setup, C, C#, Visual Basic and Office development tools; improvements for C# and Visual Basic Analyser; as well as a range of features across other languages and tools.
The company has also released Team Foundation Server 2015 Update 2 RC 1, which includes a variety of new features and improvements.
Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2012 Update 5, which is primarily focused on the ability to update local workspaces after a team project is renamed. This supports the Team Project Rename feature introduced in Team Foundation Server 2015.
Microsoft has released Team Explorer Everywhere 2015, which includes the Eclipse plug-in and the cross-platform, command-line client for Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and Visual Studio Online. Enhancements include support for the next version of Build and project rename as well as performance improvements and bug fixes.
Microsoft has released Visual Studio 2015 CTP 6 and Team Foundation Server 2015 CTP (TFS). The Visual Studio release includes single sign-in, ASP.NET improvements, Xamarin integration improvements, increased range of devices supported by Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova as well as a number of other enhancements. TFS includes performance improvements and licencing changes.
Microsoft has made Visual Studio 2013 Update 4 CTP 2 available. The release includes a few features (e.g. performance improvements for the Visual C++ browsing experience) and some bug fixes.
In addition, the company also released a CTP for Team Foundation Server, Team Explorer Everywhere 2013 Update 2 as well as Visual Studio Tools for Unity (VSTU) 1.9.1.
Microsoft has introduced licensing changes to Visual Studio Online and Team Foundation Server that allow any number of users in an account to be assigned a stakeholder license at no charge. Stakeholders have access to the project home page and most of the “work” related functionality. This includes the ability to view the backlog, add and edit items, and run work item queries.
