Microsoft has announced Skype 6.4 for Android, which supports conversations on Android Wear devices such as the Moto 360, Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, or the ASUS ZenWatch. Features for Android Wear devices include message notification and reading, chat response as well as audio and video call management.
Microsoft has announced that the Azure IoT Suite is available for purchase. The suite facilitates the deployment of IoT solutions and includes support for a variety of devices and systems, interactive dashboards and visualisations as well as preconfigured solutions.
Microsoft has updated its Lumia Imaging SDK to version 3.0, which supports Windows 10 UWP (Universal Windows Platform) and is implemented as a Windows Runtime Component. Microsoft has announced that it is acquiring several apps and add-ins for Project Online from Sensei Project Solutions and Projectum ApS. The Sensei acquisitions include Task Master timesheets and tasks status app for the iPhone, Android and Windows Phone platforms; Project Dashboard app for iPad; as well as the Portfolio Dashboard app for iPad and Project Online. The Project Financials and Project Snapshot add-ins will be acquired from Projectum ApS.
Microsoft has announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire key product and technology assets of Adxstudio Inc., a provider of Web portals, online engagement solutions and application lifecycle management solutions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Each of Adxstudio’s solutions will be available for Dynamics CRM customers and can be used both on-premises and in the cloud.

Microsoft has announced the worldwide release of Office 2016 for Windows. Microsoft has also released Office 2016 for Mac as a one-time purchase option, along with several new and enhanced Office 365 services.
The key focus of this release is collaboration, such as real-time co-authoring, rather than a range of new features for each product within the suite. Office 2016 includes Skype for Business, Office 365 Planner, the inclusion of Office 365 Groups in Outlook 2016, integrated publishing to Power BI from Excel 2016 as well as a range of other changes designed to provide better cloud service integration and improved collaboration productivity.
Microsoft has showcased the Azure Cloud Switch (ACS), which is the company’s software for running network devices like switches and is built on Linux. It is a cross-platform modular operating system for data centre networking and has been designed to run across hardware from multiple switch vendors.
Microsoft has released updates to several tools, along with something new for developers working with the Apache Cordova CLI. The updates include Tools for Universal Windows apps v1.1, TypeScript 1.6 for Visual Studio and Tools for Apache Cordova. The new Tools for Apache Cordova CLI (TACO) provide support for Mac and Windows users. Developers can also install the native Android and iOS (Mac-only) SDKs and build tools from the command line.
Microsoft has announced the availability of Project Server 2016 IT Preview. Enhancements include Resource Engagements that facilitate coordination and commitments between project managers and resources managers as well as infrastructure improvements that include integration into SharePoint 2016, which obviates the need for running a separate installer.
